Material Care:

Solid wood (Seesham/ Rubber wood /Teak etc,.):

• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight at all times. With extended exposure, sunrays can create hairline cracks in the finish or cause fading, yellowing, or darkening.
• Avoid using sharp and pointed objects on the surface.
• Any spillages to be wiped with dry cloth immediately.
• Avoid exposing your furniture to direct airflow from air conditioners.
• Dust regularly using a soft, clean cloth. Use a dry (preferably cotton) cloth, if necessary, to remove any moisture from the surface.
• You may also use slightly dampened cloth with water and mild soap solution and wipe in the direction of the grain and make sure to dry those components completely. Never wipe across grain as it can create rub marks and removing them sometimes can be very difficult.
• Do not use acidic or abrasive cleaning agents.
• Avoid placing hot objects/utensils on the wood surface directly, use mats or coasters as protective layers. This way the surface and the wood will last long.
• It is suggested to use a coat of rubbing with wax / oil or any suitable material can be used to make the furniture look new and fresh. Pl consult a professional before you decide to go ahead.

Upholstered items : (Sofa, cushions, seats made from Fabric)

• Once you begin using an upholstered item, you can expect its appearance to change over time. These changes are considered as normal wear.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can damage fibers and cause fabrics and leathers to fade. Position your furniture away from direct sunlight.
• It’s important to engage a professional furniture cleaning agency when upholstery reaches an overall soiled condition.
• Keep the upholstered furniture in well-ventilated area. Avoid prolonged exposure damp and humid conditions as it will have effect on raw materials and can lead to faster deterioration, thus reducing the life of the furniture.
• Avoid exposing your furniture to direct airflow from air conditioners.
• Remove dust regularly to prevent soiling and abrasion, vacuuming can help, a home vacuum cleaner fitted with an upholstery cleaning tool attachment.
• Periodically wipe with a soft and dry cloth to clean. Do not use detergents or any abrasive materials to clean any woven part. If there is any splitting or stitch protrusion, please use a scissor to cut and make sure you never pull the stitches by hand.
• Treat spills and accidents immediately. Quick action is essential to prevent permanent damage. Spots and stains from liquid spills can be prevented if immediate steps are taken to absorb the staining materials. Use a upholstery cleaning shampoo on the piece of clean cloth, try on small area in a circular motion and then proceed with the rest of area when the results are encouraging.
• Make sure to avoid children jumping on the sofas.
• Avoid using sharp and pointed objects on the surface. Also avoid using hot objects to come in contact with upholstery material.
• In case of shifting, please lift the sofa and not pull, Pulling might result is damages of stitching. Also never pull or hold the stitching joint areas.
